Working at home means just that. There are many different opportunities out there to do this but the majority of these are all internet dependent. Many, I've seen statistics that are as high as 97.2%, of these offereings are scams. So before you invest a significant amount of your hard earned cash in anything remember the old phrase Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware.
Work from home should be translated as your business will requre you to go out to your customers but you will not need to lease an offsite office or storefront.
Keep in mind, when launching a new business it is always better to keep your intial expenses as low as possible. My favorite definition of "Sweat Equity" has nothing to do with sweating while performing the job your business is all about. No, "Sweat Equity" has everything to do with waking up in a cold sweat wondering how you will meet payroll and pay the rent next week.
The ideal work from home business should give you:
- A business structure that is a service business. A service that is needed on a repeat basis so once you've successfully gotten a customer they will need to return and get the service again.
- An complementary product line that can be sold while you provide the service.
- A customer base that is easy to reach, always has money, works in a recession proof industry and and not only needs but wants your service.
- A service business that services individuals within another business. Most service businesses sell B2B (business to business) or B2C (business to consumer.) Imagine your customer base are individuals who are literally captive within a business but need your service delivered right there.
